Urban Green Space Accessibility in Ilorin City, Nigeria

Urban green space (UGS) is a very important determinant of social and environmental fairness. Many developing countries are faced with dearth public spaces Ilorin in Nigeria no exception. Despite the numerous benefits these facilities, they still target encroachment by other land uses. The study assesses distribution City, using World Health Organization (WHO) standard indicators to evaluate its accessibility availability. primary instruments used Geographic Information System (ArcMap 10.3), Google Earth Engine (GEE), administrative shapefiles West South Local Government Areas. results show that UGS inadequate only one out fourteen wards city meets WHO 9m2green also offers 64.2 percent access within 300m distance radius. This result implies not along path sustainability since predisposes inhabitants immense danger. A recommendation was made for design comprehensive master plan city. shall put check on city's growth foster sustainable development.
